Many sisters, and many parents of young daughters, are simply more comfortable learning with a woman — and there is no need to explain or justify that. You choose the teacher's gender when you book, and it is honoured without discussion. Our female teachers hold the same qualifications and teach the same curriculum as everyone else on the team; this is a matter of comfort, never of standard.
For sisters returning to the Qur'an after years away
A large number of our adult students last read Arabic as children and are quietly worried about how much they have forgotten. That is ordinary, and no teacher here will make you feel it. Lessons are one to one, so nobody else hears you read while you are finding your confidence again. You set the pace, and you can begin exactly where you are — including from the letters, if that is honest.
For daughters, with a parent close by
Younger children learn best when a parent is nearby, and you are welcome to sit in for as long as you wish. Lessons are one to one, held at a time you choose, and short enough to match a child's attention rather than an adult's. You receive a note after each lesson describing what was covered and what to practise, so you always know what your daughter is learning and how she is getting on.
Taught on the way of Ahl as-Sunnah wa'l-Jama'ah
Our teachers follow the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah as understood by the Companions and the generations who followed them, honouring the Companions and respecting the four well-known schools of fiqh. Lessons are conducted with the adab expected of Qur'an teaching: professional, purposeful, and confined to the lesson itself. Students and teachers do not exchange private contact details.
